I gave up today and after two months of not touching another human being went to my friends' house and hugged the hell out of them. (They agreed to this plan beforehand). I just couldn't anymore. Spent the afternoon with them in their backyard and it was good for my soul.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I am waiting to do so myself, meara. I just don't feel safe yet. Israel started exit strategies about a week ago, and I'm waiting another one to see the numbers and figure out how safe it is. My people are terrible in keeping social distancing so I'm being extra careful.

ION, this board drove me to watch Due South so I want you to know that it's you're fault that I have all the feelings after watching the last three episodes of S1 over the weekend. I had no idea I could relate so much to a fictional Mountie and I'm in a bucket of emotional pain. Thank you.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry and you're welcome, Shir.

Because books.

The baker at work -- J, just 22, a complete sweetheart -- gave me the most impromptu bear hug with nonus back stroking yesterday and I almost cried, it felt so good. We were both wearing our masks, too.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

COnsuela, I'd watch that show!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I feel certain someone knows the answer to this - does the CDC get plural or singular verbs? It's "Centers" when de-acronymed, which is plural, but saying "The CDC have..." sounds weird and wrong.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

AMA style is to use a singular verb for CDC.

Coding and Sleeping

What drives me crazy is a group noun getting singular verbs. It always sounds so wrong. 'A number of students is taking the test.' Is that technically correct even though it sounds completely wrong?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Owen made me bacon for breakfast and Olivia made me pork dumplings from scratch for Mother's Day so I think that goes in the win column.

Gud, AH! That sentence makes me crazy, correct, or no.
