S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

The receptionist is screening people with a thermometer....and wearing her mask below her nose.

That is terrifically irresponsible, especially for someone working in medical right now.

Yeah, I said something to the nurse who came to take me back. Just....oy.

I too am unmotivated for work work today. I've done one report, answered a phone call, responded to an email, registered for a webinar tomorrow, helped other register for same, and just now sent my big boss something she wanted.

Maybe I'll do a household chore, get lunch and try another go.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have two prescriptions for a steroid cream and a stronger antihistamine. Now I just need to fill them.

I hope they work, Dana.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I've had good results with using Benadryl ointment - I get a fair number of mosquito bites when it's warm and I've found if I slap the ointment on fairly soon after I'm bitten, the itching is minimal.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

oh - good reminder I need to buy an office chair.

I am getting rid of mine for another. I currently have this one from IKEA: [link] It's perfectly fine and really comfortable. The only reason I'm changing it is because of aesthetics. My current obsession is making my workspace more unified and less cluttered.

It's yours if you want it. I need to order the new one, so I can't tell you exactly when it will be available, but if you can hold out....

Cinnamon Toast Crunch:

Oy, meara. That's just a whole bunch of wrong. She especially should know better.

Dana, I hope the hives disappear quickly.

Cass, you can only do what you can do. Eff 'em if it's not enough.

Toddson, your new place sounds lovely. Will you still be in the same neighborhood?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Dana, once when I had a weird reaction to something that give me hives, my doctor told me that in addition to antihistamines, I could also take any of the acid blockers that are histamine-2 antagonists (Axid, Zantac, Tagamet, Pepcid, or any of their generics). Apparently, even though the histamine they target is primarily in the GI tract, they also are helpful in dermatological allergic reactions. And it did actually help my hives.

So if the new antihistamine isn't helpful enough, you could try adding Zantac to see if it helps.
