Supposedly there is an International Workers Day strike today in support of the FC employees but I can't find any information about who is organizing it and what the specific demands are that have been sent to senior leadership. As far as I can tell this is an internet meme and not a real thing.

I'm sorry, Toddson. I hope you can ride it out ok
Thanks ... at least I'll still have a job and have money coming in. I do have savings, so I can draw on that if I need to.
You already have a nemesis, msbelle? That seems fast
I was gonna say...
I'm sorry, Toddson.
So after weeks and weeks, Husband didn't get the job.
UGH. Dana, I'm so sorry.
I'm alive! And Covid negative, as I expected. I go to my PCP this morning to get abused about my weight, cholesterol, and BP. Sigh. All of those were so vastly improved last summer, but now worse than ever. Double sigh.
I'm glad you're negative, Laura. I hope your appointment wasn't too bad.
Youngest had his first telemedicine visit with his gastroenterologist today. It went well. He's supposed to have endoscopy and a colonoscopy in two weeks (like a rotisserie chicken), but the gastro said we'll put that off until summer, because we're still in our COVID-19 peak here. He still needs a bone scan too, because he was on steroids for so long.
I think for routine appointments, this should become the rule. If things were normal, he'd go once every three months, ie four times a year. Since he has an infusion every two months (at which they weigh him, draw blood, take his B.P.), if/when he is feeling well, I'd love to see those separate gastro visits cut down to one in-person visit and three telemedicine appointments per year.
Work sucks. I got overheated running around doing things, raisedy voice a bit with a coworker not to snap at them just I was anxious.
It's busy. Like way busier than I think anyone expected.and a bunch of people have no patience..at all.
And it's not getting communicated that people won't be able to get into the mall from our store and so they are getting to theall entrance and are upset but I can't see anything open. And I don't know what is open and that is not making the happy.
This is just a perfect storm for all my various anxieties and the fact that people aren't doing what they are supposed to.
I'm not on a register. Providing support but the person on the register was our for 3 months before coming back for 2 weeks before we were furloughed. So he can't remember how to do stuff. He can't keep his mask in place, he's busted 4 pairs of gloves.
One the first day I would have had strong people on the register.
Although yesterday we did almost $100,000 on online orders (mail out and curbside pick up) so that was really good
Most people have been nice though
But there are still too many employees not wearing a mask properly . Although most customers are.
Yay Laura on the negative test.
Oh and this morning one co worker said her brother works for a hospital here and according to him the number Covid 19 deaths is being inflated everywhere because hospitals get paid more if someone dies from Covid 19. So they get $30,000 instead of $10,000 from....I'm not sure who so the hospitals are lying for the extra money and this is just like the flu.
Pretty transparent as anxiety dreams go, I suppose, but do not like!
AGREED.
So after weeks and weeks, Husband didn't get the job. Jesus fucking Christ.
Ugh, Dana. I'm sorry.
You already have a nemesis, msbelle? That seems fast

oy ... got a message from our CEO that, effective June 1, we're having salary cuts.
Sorry, Toddson. Hope you can hang on.

That sounds like a lot!
It's interesting to me how many people are apparently dying to get out of the house, because I feel like more of the people I talk to are never going out again!
This is the AP story about May Day strikes. [link]
I'm so furious that you have been forced back to work, askye.
That sounds very stressful, askye! I'm glad customers are mostly behaving well and wearing masks.
