Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Susan, I'm so sorry. That must be so hard to process.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Thanks again, y'all. It's good to be able to come back here.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm sorry, Susan. My college roommate's brother died under shady circumstances. He fell to his death from a parking lot and nobody knows if it was suicide or his gambling debts catching up with him. It's just fucked up. It leaves such an unresolved mess of memories behind.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh no, Susan. I am so sorry. This is so difficult.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

(and now, for a bit of meara'ing. I'm keeping a notepad open with stuff I wanted to reply to while skimming).

msbelle and -t, I am very sorry for the bullshit.

Yay for negative Ben!

And I just wondered who is NOT tipping well in this shit?

Assholes.

Yes and yes, though I have to say about 50% of the time I have to go to the street (at their request, because they can't/don't want to go into the building) to get whatever delivered and I find the delivery person without mask and gloves. I'm reluctant tipping them.

I keep hearing stories about people yelling at their elderly parents to stay home

Oh, dear. Let me just say: yes. Not yelling as much as convincing, and here's how my parents are being convinced: they do not agree with the policy BUT they agreed that I'd probably feel awfully guilty if I accidentally gave them the virus, so we can avoid meeting until it's safe. To spare my feelings, in case they'll catch it. Not because they are worried about catching it.

And oh, beekaytee! I wanted to apologize in person because I couldn't stay for more than a few minutes (I wish I had realized you were starting sooner), but then I read I'm a rockstar? Oh my blush. Either way, happy birthday again.

So far for meara'ing. And now, my dear board, I owe you a big F thank you. I had no idea about Due South and never heard of it beofre. You gave me a world of comfort to fangirl. I cannot remember when was the last time I fangirled a good, positive character, but it must have been years (if not more than a decade, thank you anti-hero television). Such a strange, good sensation.

Thrive to spite them

I'm so sorry Susan. Be gentle with yourself during this and whatever you feel is valid and what you feel.

Thrive to spite them

I am so tired and so sore. I thought I turns on the washing machine last night and didn't and so now I'm quick washing my clothes and hoping they dry. I want to wear the jeans and the bandana I've been using for a face mask is in there.

Dad sent me these sun baklavas ...like a ski mask but for sun protection to use...and while they will be good for errands it won't work as well for work since it covers the whole head and pulling it down for just the face seems like it would be uncomfortable for a whole day.

I have been trying to wear a mask properly but I'll admit by the end of the work day when I'm so hot and tired I've just not done what I should do. I'm hoping once there is less physical labor involved and different type of mask it will be easier.

More people wore masks yesterday but it was still had to physical distance and after lunch about half the people forgot their masks.

I realize if we hadn't opened and don't generate more sales there would probably be lay offs. There probably will be lay offs at some point. Our whole economy is just...fucked up...and that was before the coronavirus.

I'm grateful that I'm working for a company that is at least trying to balance health/safety and operational needs.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am in an all day SharePoint training and I had SharePoint at my last job, so......

Also all the training logins were FUBAR'd and none of us can actually practice, so this is now just a watch training, which honestly could be a recorded thing with breaks every so often for a live trainer to answer questions. THAT WOULD BE SO MUCH MORE EFFICIENT.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Susan, I'm so sorry. What an awful thing.

I've been taking Spanish classes via Skype and tonight we started talking about fruit and my teacher was saying she really wants to try apples when she visits here. Because they basically get red delicious and Granny Smiths and she heard we have other/better kinds. She was also flabbergasted at some of the many tropical fruits we really don't get.

Where does she live?
