urg random early wake ups are no fun.
so in other news all about me... I am starting back working next week for the library. all on line and hopwfully tings that will improve the library. I'll be working with a group that is developing trainning for staff. Since I have been VERY PISSED OFF at how difficult it is for people to get promoted in our system ( and vocal to the very top of the ladder) I think this is a start in the right direction. So while the concept of working full time is not exciting - I'm ok with the direction. ( and there is no one cracking the whip over hours)
And for those searching for flour

I ordered cornmeal from them through amazon -- they sent it with a coupon code to order directly - they do some glutten -free mixes . they are more expensive than aome places, but i like that they are using an old mill. packaging may be to big for some, but they say things will keep two years in the freezer.
Yeah, I think that's only going to be true for people close to federal minimum wage, which we all know is not a living wage
I mean, to be fair, 600 dollars a week at 40 hours would be $15/hour and while that's been the fight in some places, there are plenty of people who make way less than that, even before you add in any normal unemployment numbers. Of course, you'd have to actually get through to the unemployment people to be getting any of that and I know plenty of folks who can't (and one friend who got told their application was rejected because they aren't a citizen. They have now uploaded their passport and birth certificate and asked for adjudication. But who knows when that'll happen)
I so badly wanted to scrawl WHO CARES across the form in crayon, that would more accurately express where I am right now.
-t, I'm so disappointed in you.
Surely it should have been WHO THE FUCK CARES.
Beth thanks - I have not been baking, but getting some good flour seems like a good idea.
WHO GIVES A FUCK was my actual thought but I am actively trying not to curse while on conference calls and it kind of spilled over
My department was working double time to keep things running, so we got to put our PEP stuff off for a month or two. Since we've also been told there won't be any raises (honest, I'll be happy to have a job in the current and likely future environment), no one is really feeling the need to push forward with that. I strongly suspect my manager will write, "didn't snap and go on a rampage with knives—gold star" on everyone's form and be done with it.
I shoulda put that under "goals"
It does not seem right that "peanuts" comes before "peas" alphabetically
We got an announcement from the CEO of the Medical Center that on May 8th their will be an announcement about furloughs. I wasn't even thinking it could be possible that I would be furloughed because I have so much work! Thanks CEO. What I am imagining for my school is that they might ask us to equally share a furlough which seems fair, except I HAVE SO MUCH WORK between now and July 1.
PS I am still working right now. I have zoom meeting most of the day, so most work has to happen after five.
Shouldn't it be:
PEA _____ plural peas
PEANUT ____ plural peanuts
