Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, fun! I'm doing Parks & Rec trivia Saturday, which I am sure I will not do well at (I've seen the episodes just once, mostly!), but I might wear my grey pantsuit for inspiration.

Also we ordered Chinese food for my mother's birthday, and it was good when it finally got there, after the guy went to two separate wrong addresses! Yikes. I mostly felt bad for the delivery guy, and he blamed it on the new kid in the restaurant, which I believed.

Our wings are not tired.

NBC says it's bringing back PARKS AND RECREATION for a one-time benefit special that will air next Thursday, 4/30.

Way to go! Thank you television for bringing on the entertainment.

We had a socially distanced birthday party for my son's FIL last night. Just 8 of us. Me and DH, son and DIL, her parents, and her aunt and uncle. We went to their favorite yogurt place that they go to every week and the owner played guitar and sang to him. The we all sat in chairs we brought with us out in the parking lot while the owners played guitar for a couple hours.

DIL's parents are suffering live entertainment withdrawal because they generally go watch local bands at least weekly if not more often. The yogurt place owners were great. They had masks and face shields for serving, but took down the masks while they sang happy birthday. As per city rules of course all the people were masked. We were playing 'guess from my eye crinkles' if we were smiling under the masks.

It was a nice break. We have a large circular driveway so we agreed to have a nice BYOB family gathering there over the weekend since there is room to spread out. The kids see us every day of course, but I know they are missing her parents a lot. Everyone is healthy and they are both work from home.

I do think a way forward is smarter gatherings. My neighbors are all walking or biking and people are sitting in their front yards exchanging greetings.

Our wings are not tired.

Between work and socializing yesterday I managed to escape the news of the latest insanity from the White House until late evening. Not that I watch the daily bizarre reality show, but I usually hear the recap. In this case my sister was texting me! No, we are not injecting Lysol in our lungs.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.
