I discovered a Little Free Library in the apartment complex next door, so I'm going to go drop off a couple YA books.

Took a walk and it greatly improved my mood. Now watching an ep of Ken Burns' country music which I never watched.

So Gary sent e-mail to a few of our friends, asking them to send me birthday wishes. A few of them did so, which was nice.

So Matthew's brother and sister in law stopped by. We stayed outside and at least 6 feet apart. They didn't stay long, they came to check on the roof because it's supposed to storm tonight.

I tried to side step most topics but Matthew plowed right on with Trump sucks, which he does, but his SIL still supports Trump and I'm hoping that if we don't outright bash Trump and sees how he act she may change her mind. Plus I didn't want to start a fight. But she is also anti vaccine and doesn't trust main stream media (aka any national news source) I finally broke down and ask what sources she trusts for information if not any news . She didn't answer , she just said she trusts her gut which doesn't tell me where she gets any info to trust her gut.

And she said she doesn't believe the numbers for Covid 19 deaths because people are dying or a heart attack or something and then being tested for Covid 19 and testing positive post mortem and it's getting attributed to Covid 19 when it's not so it's really not that as many people dying as reported.

Ugh, askye, I don't have any idea how to deal with someone like your SiL. That just seems like willful denial of reality to me but I'm sure that's not how it feels to her.

Sheryl, I think I missed wishing you a happy birthday, happy belated!

I have the last of my black-eyed peas in the instant pot with onion, carrots and Old Bay seasoning because that seemed like a good idea? We'll see. Yesterday I made a list of everything I am out of or about to be out of thinking I would go to the store but today I feel like just running out of things and making do with what I have left is a better plan. Shrug. I am having trouble coming up with enough energy to watch TV today, so it's not a decision that needs to be made once and for all right now.

Which reminds me to get some jambalaya going in my instantpot. First though, I have to clean off the countertop of the stuff I used for the lab demo I filmed earlier.

I hard-boiled eggs for breakfasts for the week, and baked scones. I tend to stress-bake, so I want to make something else. Maybe cookies.

....or maybe I will decided to buy All the Things off Amazon. Well, All the Grains.

I made banana bread and a sheet pan frittata for breakfasts this week! I have to take so many long breaks of doing nothing in between any activity, though.
