Jayne (Husband): Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature. Mal (Wife): How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people? Jayne (Husband): If I could make you purtier, I would. Mal (Wife): You are not the man I met a year ago.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh Todd! I am sorry for the awful start of your day. I hope the bloody show was the worst of it.

Happy birthday, Sheryl! May today be peaceful and calm.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

One of my college professors - Classical Greek - was of the opinion that any language with regular verbs just wasn't worth her time.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Toddson, I'm so sorry! That sounds like a terrible experience. I hope the physical effects are not too bad or long lasting.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

FWIW - I have no idea how any non-semetic language speakers are learning Hebrew and I have mad respect for them. I suspect the "because this is how it is in this language" answers to "why is this...?" questions begin in the 10th week of class.

Sheryl, happy birthday!

May today be peaceful and calm.

And with cake!

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Oh Todd, that sounds terrible! I can't believe no one helped you! I'm glad you're up and doing okay. I hope the blood was the worst of it and you don't have too much residual soreness.

Happy birthday, Sheryl!

Happy belated, Drew!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no, Toddson! That does sound terrible, and I hope you are actually OK. May I recommend some painkillers before you go to bed tonight?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Ouch, Toddson. I hope the ice helps and that you don't end up with too much stiffness or soreness.

What is even happening?

Toddson, you poor baby. I hope you feel better soon. I'm sorry no one helped you. I think everyone must be feeling extra wary because of Covid-19.

I read Natter, and stopped after Laura's post here Laura "Natter 76: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Foaminess" Apr 17, 2020 7:38:07 am PDT, so I returned to this post of yours Toddson "Natter 76: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Foaminess" Apr 17, 2020 7:49:08 am PDT:

I mean, I know as a breed, we Buffistas are precious about language, but...
