2 weeks ago I managed some fresh stuff in my Aldi delivery, but from what I am hearing the larger markets are just way more wiped out.

Sadly the farmers markets here are still not allowed to open (though they do tend to get very crowded). I'm only managing to go grocery shopping weekly, not biweekly. But I used to go 4-5 times a week, so I feel like I'm at least trying??? I'm still figuring out what the heck to buy. I keep ending up with a lot of ingredients and nothing to eat?

Once more meara is me and my life.
I'm lucky in that my Asian grocery a few blocks away is Open, well stocked and undercrowded.
Grabbed a bunch of greens for us and the pigs.
I do have to wander into Whole Foods or Gus's Market on Haight about once a week but that's a long line and wait and an unpleasant experience.
Ruby Coffee Roasters has paired with our local farm shed org to sell produce boxes with local, organic fresh fruit and veg. They also have a dairy box with 1 gal of local milk, 1/2 #cheddar cheese, 1lb of butter and a dozen organic eggs. Both boxes together are $75 and that is pricey for no meat but... it is all local and we don't have to shop—just pick it up!

The ONLY reason that isn't entirely true for us is BlueJay, who is good at thinking of and making food. And even then, we're a little lighter on eating veggies than we should be.
Our farmers market is staying open. They've instituted strict distance guidelines and one-way flow, and they're insisting on masks for all. Not gloves, though. Since I have four masks and no gloves, that works for me.
Yeah, the farmer's market local to Somerville got creative, so you can't browse, but if you sign up for something online in advance you can walk over and pick up safely. with a minimum of contact.
I like that, Theodosia, but the challenge for me is that if I can't *see* it, it's challenging for me to be able to remember that it exists.
That's been a clear challenge to a number of local small businesses, they didn't have significant online retail spaces because the focus was, understandably, on in store; but I can't make an effective decision about what to buy without seeing the available options.
meara and esse - what ingredients do you have and maybe we can give you all a recipe to make. If making the food is the barrier, then try to buy shelf stable stuff that is a quick meal and/or frozen.
I thought I might spiral with this, so I bought pouches of sunkist flavored chicken that I can make sandwiches with or put on salad or just eat. I also have some ramen bowls, some idaho instant potatoes (omg they are so good). I never make breakfast, soI got boxes of frozen breakfast sandwiches. I should have gotten some frozen spinach as that is good in several of my recipes and could be added to the ramen.
