Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Are we really, really sure we can't get Warren back?

I'm having fantasies of Biden appointing her some sort of Economy Czar (why DO we use that term?) to put this mess back together better than it was.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm surprised Bernie dropped out, too. I thought he'd hang on until the bitter bitter end.

I vaguely remember Doonesbury having a Czar character way back when. What was that... oh, William Simon, "Energy Czar", in the 1970s. No idea why or when the US started calling people Czar.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I would vote for Teddy Bear if he were running against the current occupant.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I can't believe I am shocked that we ended up with Joe Biden after such a promising and diverse set of democratic candidates.

Also, anyone else having pet peeves just drive them up a wall because they are so stressed/working from home? Mine right now is that all the Administrative Assistants in our school sign their emails something like (this is the one for my department) Administrative Assistant to the Center for Lifelone Learning. Why the to? Why not just two lines with no to? Why not for, which makes more sense to me? I used to be an AA and I never signed mine that way, so I don't think they are being required to do it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Czar reminded people of Russia, even though of course it was the people who actually opposed the Commies.

I want to be on the record that I will vote for the Dem who runs against Trump. Giant Meteor/Any Functional Adult/Joe Biden/whoever.

Pretty much sums up life these days, doesn't it?

WHY ARE YOU PILING DISHES IN THE SINK IF THERE IS ROOM IN THE DISHWASHER?!?!

There's even a magnet on the thing that says it's dirty. Take a peek!

Is it full? Run it. Switch the magnet.

Is there room? Put your dirty dishes in.

Now for the tricky one...

Is there room? Put your dirty dishes in. Does putting your dirty dishes in then make it full? Run it and switch the magnet.

I think Trudy's post just answered your question.

(Also, I deserve a medal for not stabbing my husband.) (And, frankly, he deserves a medal for not stabbing me.)

Our wings are not tired.

Also, anyone else having pet peeves just drive them up a wall because they are so stressed/working from home?

We both have worked from home for a number of years, but in the past we did other stuff too. He did basketball and I did outside of the house activities. Now we are watching a lot of tv.

My stress isn't so much the homeboundedness, but the world gone mad, killer viruses, mindfully dangerous incompetency in DC, and the prospect of any chance of blowing it in November, again. It is all just too much.

Also,

Is it too early for gin?

Not at all.
