In small but good news: I saw the first butterfly of spring today!
It is a good portent.
Matilda is currently doing her science homework.
In an effort to use the pandemic as a teachable moment her teacher has assigned her a whole slew of information about viruses and discussing whether they are a life form or not.

She's the only person they would allow to be with him because she'd already recovered from COVID-19. Everybody else is a liability risk. A weird blessing. But it is a privilege to be with someone at their passing, and I am glad that he is with his firstborn.
