Oh, man, Amy, that is infuriating! None of that is ok

Sara's doing well. She overdid it in terms of activity a little yesterday, so this morning she was sort of weepy and really sore, but I gave her ibuprofen and she went back to bed, where she's been sleeping.
::hugs sj:: The anxiety part of this whole situation is really crushing. Be kind to yourself.
I'm standing in a long line outside Trader Joe's. They're limiting the number of people in the store and the line is distanced, but it seems to be a line all hours of day and night, so might as well.
Work just changed from "we understand you might have kids at home we are flexible" to "if you want to take unpaid leave or go to part time part pay you can, otherwise we expect 8 hours". Boo.
Also my sister is going to have surgery on Monday.
That sucks, Amy. I'm so tired of thoughtless people.

Ours is doing that, too. It must be a corporate policy, which is pretty smart. Plus, it's a goddamn DELIGHT to be able to shop in TJs without 25 people breathing down my neck.
Amy, bakeries have really big ovens, don't they?

I'ma gonna skip TJs for the duration, I think. My local stores (including the health-food coop that has been in business since 1933) have basically what I need.
Amy, bakeries have really big ovens, don't they? HAH!
I'm trying to do a little online training, and signed up for a 2-hour training on federal emergency planning, and it's so fucking ironic and distressing to see that we have a system in place and they didn't fucking use it.
meara, I'm so sorry about your sister's ankle. I hope Zen was right in that maybe we hit the magic number 3 now and ankle injuries can end?
Our oven is pretty big, yeah...
Waiting for the hospital to call about picking up my sister.
Last night she had a talk with me about how I will not be allowed into her house. She says she's "gone off the rails" since Dad "...went away" and her hoarding has gotten so bad she is ashamed and doesn't want to be judged. Her poor roommate says it's all a disaster but she gave up trying long ago because anything she cleans gets all messed up again by the next day. I think it will be a terrible environment for undergoing chemo and radiation. I keep telling myself that it's not my problem to solve, especially if she doesn't want me in the house at all.
Too bad for me this doesn't feel very good.
One piece of good news, if I still find it a little scary: one of the people I know who had a mild case of covid is back to work -- in a hospital!
