I've been googling and obsessively reading peoples blogs about broken ankles. I have yet to see one who had to be non weight bearing for 12 weeks. I'm so jealous.

But, I am planning to move home tomorrow!! I hope. Two friends were supposed to help but one may not be available. I am a bit torn, because it's been really nice to have my friends I'm staying with around, both for help and for company. But it will also be super nice to be in my own home and know where things are and not feel like I'm in the way and so on.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oooh, good luck, meara. I can definitely see both sides to that one. How's getting around going?

As far as Thanksgiving desserts go, these cranberry bars might work.

Yum!

Thank goodness for neighbors. I went out to rake and locked the door behind me! Luckily, my neighbors have a spare key in their unlocked foyer.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad that you're going home soon, meara. Smooth transfer~ma!

Jesse, good neighbors are worth their house foundations' weight in gold.

brillig

My brunch: spreadable cheeses of various types on good soft bread with fig paste. So very yum.

Teppy: link You weren't the only one upset about Aldi's selling out of their advent calendars so quickly.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for going home, meara! I can understand the mixed feelings. Sleep should be better in your own bed though.

Connie's brunch sounds better than mine. I had avocado toast with generous amounts of minced jalapeno on top. Twas tasty.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Man. I was seriously there at about 9:15 a.m., and they were gone. I really don't get how a store can be surprised at the demand for something like this.

Target is supposed to have a cheese Advent calendar, too, so maybe I can get one of those. Or maybe I'll make my own!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Typical Sunday here. Lunch, dropped Mr. S at my MIL's house so Gary and I could do grocery shopping, came back home.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay for going home, meara!

Despite what felt like a lot of running around to various locations, I don't seem to have actually accomplished much today. Oh well.

Our wings are not tired.

Hey Monday! I hope some of you have a holiday today. I'm still on my FB vacation, which has yielded me more time for lots of stuff, and kept my blood pressure more manageable. But, it takes away my place where I have recently sent birthday wishes.

Happy birthday to Jessica! I hope you are spoiled by family, friends, and the universe.
