Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I've seen some things on the internet where people have cut and/or colored their own hair. Good, bad, odd ... the only consolation is that they're not likely to be seen, so it's a good time for it.

In other news, seemingly, pajama bottoms are selling well - people are doing online meetings, so they only need to have nice tops. Kind of like a clothing mullet?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've been coloring my own hair for the past 25 years, and it's pretty hard to screw up cutting with clippers. (DH already trims his own beard and shaves his head, so I know he has a steady hand.)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I would never try to trim anything other than my bangs, because I am a klutz. But trimming your bangs isn't difficult; watch some YouTube tutorials. The most important part is to just trim a tiny amount, then evaluate, then trim another tiny amount if needed, then re-evaluate, etc.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

There will be no haircutting or coloring in our house. ltc might end up with the long hair she wants so badly and possibly no more bangs. I did not have my hair done before this all started. So, my hair is already a mess.

It occurred to me ... I wash my groceries when I bring them home (except the precious, precious toilet paper) and when I wake up I have mascara rings under my eyes ... am I a raccoon now?

Thrive to spite them

I got Matthew to buzz the back and sides of my hair because it was too long and driving me nuts. Except he got nervous about some of it so now I have this weird fringe under the longer part of my hair. As long as it is now I can tuck it under my ears, well except for a little. Unfortunately my hair has decided to part down the middle all the time it's kind of 90s boy band look..I swear there was somekn with hair like this.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Does anyone have a good format or app for doing a food inventory?

Our wings are not tired.

DH is asking me to do his hair. I haven't done this since the boys were young. I may make Bobby do it.

Herding cats for fun

A world wide pandemic is not exciting enough for my family. My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and will be having a lumpectomy Thursday. Chemo and radiation will follow.

I get to provide transportation services which will be interesting because we really have not been getting along for the last few years. DH and I are worn out from all the drama and unreliability and are happy she's been avoiding me. So nice and peaceful.

Now she needs service and I have to step up and help out like I did when she moved house. I expect lashing out and tantrums before this is over, and I'm already so weary.

This is kind of a last straw for me. I've been handling it all with calm, but now I have a little voice inside that just says, I want my Dad! If only he were still available by phone.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Husband's third (and final?) interview is tomorrow at 9AM board time.

And I have a second interview, with the place I didn't think I did very well at. But this involves not just another interview, but signing an NDA and taking a behavioral assessment.

This is really starting to rub me the wrong way. If this assessment takes more than 15 minutes, I will really, really not be pleased.
