I'm so glad you're all safe, Matt, but it would be really nice if the various plagues and curses could wait their turn instead of rushing the stage.
My dad is unchanged... which is good, comparatively. Slightly better than yesterday, and he's now been started on an experimental course of the malaria and lupus treatment. So now we wait for tomorrow and see how he responds to that and to the sedation that's letting his body rest and recuperate.
Digits crossed for your DH and the mysterious "next step," Dana!
Hey, does anyone know off-hand where the recipe for tahini-chocolate chunk cookies that definitely called for chilling, if not freezing, the dough? I realize I could just freeze whatever I make. I thought it was Food 52, but that doesn't call for chilling, and neither does David Lebovitz.
That's the gist, but I don't think the actual one I made before.
Hmm. That sounds interesting Jesse. And I did just find a bunch of tahini in my cabinet when I reorganized it yesterday....
They are so good, and there are a million versions around. I really thought I used some mainstream site, but maybe it was this: [link]
I am very enamored of this spicy and delicious mixture: [link] . I cut up some leftover cooked chicken breast and threw it in, and there was dinner. We got it at Costco, so we have MANY more packages to enjoy while isolating.
Matt, I'm very happy to hear you and yours are OK.
JZ, continued ~ma to you and your family.
Scrappy, that sounds VERY good, and it looks to be vegan as well (Indian food almost always contains ghee or yogurt) which makes it a possibility for me...
I'm up way too early, but this way I should be able to expedite to Wegmans. Maybe I'd better check when they're open first...
Yikes, Matt! Too much excitement for sure. I saw the pictures and it looks very grim.
Sending the ~ma, JZ.
My SIL came yesterday to do our nails. Her salon is closed, of course, so she has been going to her core clients' homes. She wears a mask and gloves because it is up close and personal contact. We had a family luncheon thing for her, which was super nice. She is vegetarian and pregnant and very careful about her diet. I made a Hawaiian Quinoa Salad, with black beans, pineapple, red peppers, and stuff. It was hella tasty. So now DIL and I have pretty Spring nails and had a chance to family socialize!
