Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

He has faith in the common sense, wisdom and resilience of the people of SC so he won't issue the order.

He's met people, right?

I have survived seven days of sheltering in place. What I would give for a trip to Trader Joe's though. I'm actually feeling a little better as days go by. Some new normalcy? But it's just me and two German Shepherds for a while.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I saw a report that a nanny escorting two children - just on a walk around the block, basically - was told by police that they couldn't go outside at all, had to stay inside full time. oy

Thrive to spite them

He had to authorize the police to break up groups of 3 or more AND send out police to beaches to get people to leave them. So he knows it's just, I guess financially better to keep things as much as they can be. And now I'm getting "we can't let the gov take our freedoms" comments and "if people just wash their hands we will be fine" comments.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I went in to work this afternoon. no one else in my department an everyone else in the building doing distancing. I wiped down all surfaces around me, doors, elevators, microwave.

Thought I might get a trip in to either the Giant or the Aldi on the way home - nope. full parking lots - people are NOT staying in. I've got food to eat here, I'll make do. Might see what the neighborhood place is like at 8am.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Today was an at home day for me, so I had my work computer here.(No work to do, though)

I went for a walk with Mr. S this morning.Basically following where he decided to wander. Luckily he stayed off the playground equipment. Now he's trying to put together a 750 piece puzzle. This will not end well.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Especially since you'll probably end up with 749 pieces.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

He has faith in the common sense, wisdom and resilience of the people

LOL

Everyone was out here because it was so sunny and nice, so on a walk with my mother we ran into multiple people we know from church! Which resulted in our taking up the whole sidewalk as we kept apart but still wanted to talk.

Thrive to spite them

I got off the phone with the store manager just a little while ago - I'm on furlough. Everyone who isn't hourly is on furlough. I'll get paid for this week and going forward my insurance will be covered and when they recall us it will be like normal.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Sorry, askye. That sucks.

So, did anyone else get a postcard from the CDC titled "President Trump's Coronavirus Guidelines for America"? There is literally nothing on it that has actually been recommended by Trump. (Which is a good thing.)
