Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Totally forgot that my boss is buying us all lunch this week (doordash no contact delivery to our homes, magic!) and today is my turn. Oatmeal will be for dinner...

That's fun, t!!

I had some kind of maybe gallbladder attack last night? Woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I was being stabbed. Luckily it only lasted for maybe 10 minutes but I was like "aww crap please don't make me have to go to an ER or have surgery, body! Not now!"

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The lakefront and parks in Chicago are now closed because too many people were still gathering.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

The National Cathedral found 5,000 face masks they'd bought in 2006. They checked with CDC and the masks are still good, so the Cathedral is donating them. 5,000 to Georgetown Hospital, 2,000 to Children's.

edited for details

Our wings are not tired.

I saw an article somewhere about tattoo artists donating their stashes of masks and gloves too.

Some people really don't suck.

I saw that TV (and movie, maybe) productions that have doctors and hospitals are donating any real masks, etc., that they have.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Last night when I was conferencing with my students, one of them apologized for a backgroung buzzing noise. It was her boyfriend getting a tattoo in the next room.

Sometimes you just need to get ink.

The Chicago franchise shows (Fire, Med, PD) donated all of their PPD and my boss has been coordinating donations from the theatres.

I ventured out into the world for the first time in almost two weeks to get some groceries (mainly I needed dairy). Took advantage of my seniorness to shop BJs with very few people, although the selection of a lot of things was pretty thin. I was kind of shocked at that, but they has plenty of milk, which was my biggest need. WalMart was in better shape selection-wise, and the only way you could tell that my local Dave's (Rhody chain) was any different was that their free self-serve coffee bar was closed.
