I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, Jessica. Much peace to you and your family.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My mother was the only one of her 4 Boomer siblings not to fly out to Cincinnati yesterday. Including my one uncle who IS A FUCKING DOCTOR OMG.

Oy.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

There is a house a block from me for sale. Listing says 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. I am not sure how that is laid out. I think the must be counting the open 3rd floor space and finished basement space as bedrooms. but that only gets me to 5 bedrooms (I am assuming 3 on the 2nd floor as is typical in these houses, but maybe they have 4 as the house is wider). 2 full baths on 2nd floor, 1 full in basement and 1 full on 3rd only gets me to 4 full baths, so again, a mystery. Anyway due to the bigger size it is more expensive than my place was, but would be GREAT for either 2-3 people to buy together or a family. JUST SAYING!!! It sold just 2.5 months ago for $100K, so I think they are dreaming on getting this price and I think anyone looking at it would want to look at the mechanics - they may have just done surface updating for the flip.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I am so sorry, Jessica. My condolences.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Jess, I'm so sorry for your loss, and I wish your whole family could be together in person right now.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I am so sorry, Jess.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am so sorry, Jessica. It is so hard to be away from loved ones at these times. My aunt passed away during the 1991 ice storm in the Northeast and it was hard for my grandparents who could not travel.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry, Jessica. I applaud your mother for her good sense.

Every day I get reports from the Tesla service department from the kids. Contrasts abound. 50/50 split between elderly customers coming in for completely unnecessary elective type service and in the face of all the employees and surfaces vs the customer who refused to pick up his car from service and made them tow it to his house. He greeted the tow truck in full hazmat gear, full face mask, suit, gloves. My DIL showed me his picture. She has told many customers no when they want silly service despite knowing it will hurt her extraordinary customer service scores. She is very annoyed they are allowing elective services.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm so sorry, Jess

And we're back to not shipping anything. I don't understand why the state-wide order would change our plans since we were already under the county order, but it is clearly not my job to understand anything we are doing or someone would give me a hint what was going on.

I was able to place an order with Target via SHipt for some groceries to be delivered tomorrow evening. Lucky, right? I checked off for them to substitute at their discretion without consulting me so I am looking forward to surprises!

Shoot, I meant to get ice cream. Ooh, they let me add it! Nice.
