All 6 Bay Area counties are now Shelter-In-Place, the most restrictive in the country. But it's still voluntary and you can go outside, and get groceries, and check up on people. I just can't loiter in Amoeba Records anymore, or the bookstore.
The weird thing this week is that on Friday we'll find out about Matilda's High school placement, and whether she got into the Film program at School of the Arts (SotA). I feel good about her chances but there's no guarantee, and it'll be a massive disappointment if she can't go.
It's also complicated because she has very close friends applying in other disciplines there as well: visual art, creative writing, dance. So it'd take some kind of clean sweep of all of them getting in for it not be a fraught day in one way or another.

Somewhat less about myself, now: new job closed doors to the public and sent everyone with compromised health (including me, thanks asthma) home to WFH until whenever. CEO reassured me that no one's getting laid off and everyone can WFH until this is over. They seem to genuinely care, which almost made me cry.
I'm going to pop into the office tomorrow to pick up a laptop that I didn't think I'd need but I do, and drive-through CVS to get my g-d meds, and then I'm not going farther than my mailbox for the duration. Introvert powers, activate!
