Aw, man, my mom is pretty bummed to be ordered to shelter in place. She was sounding much more chipper yesterday when she was basically doing the same thing but it was voluntary. My folks are 77 and 78, so I'm grateful they are taking this seriously but they are also used to being able to go out and go for walks pretty much every day

I've been thinking this week about social distancing, and how special this community is and how lucky I am to have a group of friends where physical distance has always been irrelevant.
Anyway I love you guys and I'm glad you're here.
A friend of my mom's wishes we were saying physical distancing, rather than social, because we can and should still be socially close! Just from a distance.
well my day was mostly ok until Matthew's brother and siser in law stopped by and I got into heated words with his SIL because she said she doesn't trust vaccines and if they come out with a vaccine for Covid-19 she won't take it because she doesn't trust them. Also earlier she was giving Trump credit for the Democrat's Relief bill and I pointed out that it was from the House and the SEnate was going to vote against it originally. She broke out with "I really think Trump cares for people and is trying to help them"
I was able to keep my tongue when she said that.
but I had a good conversation with my store manager - he has ADD and takes Adderall and was asking me about my experiences with Vyvanse. He also said he thinks that there has to have been people at the store who have had it.
And I was really spacy because I forgot to take my meds this morning and didn't take them yesterday. I need to get a prescription called in so I can pick it up. I warned my co worker and then we ended up having a very rambly weird conversation about music. He had never heard of most people I mentioned but was shocked I knew who Run DMC are and that I like Kendrick Lamar.
So to add to the fun of 99% of our workforce wfh, the power went out at work. I'm told there was a small transformer fire. The UPSs failed to be uninterrupted. EVERYTHING went down & didn't come back up right.
And we're all on a really tight schedule because of something that might not even happen because of COVID19. I'm a really happy home bound camper.
The WH is now saying no gatherings of more than 10 people. This is not yet a mandate, but it is their guidance nation wide.
Half an hour after arriving at work today I was informed that we were closing the building at the end of the day so my crew spent the day shutting down everything that we could. I am now home at least through the 30th.

Yeah, what she said.
White House or World Health Organization? I am so stressed out about this bus thing and I just want someone to tell me I am either essential or not! I have emailed everyone I can think of, but this is where not having an actual manager is breaking down.Maybe the bus will shut down and they will just have to deal.
I also am glad I am here. What a ball of stress year! Is this just being in your late forties, because it feels like the ball of stress has been going on since forever (maybe since the Trump election, but I think before with the diabetes, my uncle dying, my family finding me, and my mom's failing eyesight). They are not cancelling her appointment tomorrow to get a shot in her eye, and I am concerned. On the other hand, getting the shot in her eye keeps her from going blind. On the other hand, it is a waiting room full of elderly people that is very crowded.
ETA- It feels like these past few years have been stressful for a lot of people on the board, so maybe this is what life as a not-young person is lide
