Swouncing

It will be behind you. It'll take some effort and work and time, no denying that, but there will be a time that all of thise will be behind you and the both of you will get some rest and feel better. You will.

Even more ¬ma and love from across the ocean, the way that's allowed in quarantine.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, Strix, your poor mom.

It will be behind you.

I'm going to keep this in mind today. Today will be rough. Tomorrow is likely to be rougher.

Universe, I'm tired. I haven't had one whole year in my whole life when I wasn't stressed the hell out about something. Can we just calm the fuck down?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My sister is up. She's calling in to work. I came up here so she could work today, but this is now a 2 person job.

Oh my god, I'm so tired.

Thrive to spite them

I missed a call from work. Our new hours are now 11-6 daily. We can be there 15 mins early and we leave asap.

We can use PTO to make up the difference in our hours. I know I just got them to change my hourly pay but I am going to go and ask if they can undo that and keep me at my old pay. O will be extremely apologitic for being so much a hassle but dude this is huge and I got bills to pay. Unless those get cancelled

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I don't know if we eat weird food that doesn't get sold out, or what.

Punishingly Intricate

Sending you love, Nilly!!

Strix, hope you and your Mom have good, hassle free experience at the hospital today.

I'm up and working from home, as usual, but I am dressed and I'm going to put on makeup. It seems like a good challenge.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What a shitshow, Strix! I hope the day goes fine.

I made it through immigration and customs lickety split!

Phew!

I don't really understand all the people who seem to think "work from home" means "watch Netflix and cook"? I mean, yes, also not going out and not commuting. But still?!?

Yeah, same. Although I am sure my job is going to be super slow, so there will be extra time in addition to the commute, but still. This is why I'm taking a couple of vacation days -- I was supposed to be off this week anyway, and now I just want to watch Netflix and cook!

Speaking of cooking, I unearthed some ancient beef stew from my freezer. I'm going to give it a shot.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Our social distancing will probably be mostly Netflix and cook and cleaning all the things. ltc was up for her normal school time today. So, it begins. TCG is still working for now in a closed to the public office with only about 3 or 4 people. Still makes me nervous.

Our wings are not tired.

Maria, I am so happy for both of you. Also, thank you for good news!

{{Strix and mom}} Sending all manner of ~ma.

Love to all. The uncertainty of all of this is weighty.

My county has drive through testing starting today. They have 40 tests available. We have 1.5 million people in Palm Beach County. It is likely as absurd in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, although Dade has 13 cases and Broward 36 so they may have more testing opportunities.

Ann, that's a ferret.

My agency is going to mandatory telework for the duration. It's rotational -- half at any one time, switching every two weeks. I'm in the group that teleworks this week and next. But it's an infusion week, so I'd be teleworking anyway.

Because of the CIDP, I have groceries delivered. So I don't have any stories about crowded grocery stores. On the other hand, I ordered groceries Friday night. Usually, I can get next-day delivery. This time, the earliest delivery available was tomorrow.

My support groups follow the local schools' schedule on closing for inclement weather. Local schools here are closed through at least April 10, so neither of my support groups is meeting for the next few weeks.

I spent one last normal-ish weekend before going into more-or-less isolation for the duration. Usually, the restaurant where I eat lunch on Sundays is packed when I get there. Yesterday, only half a dozen tables were occupied. Traffic was also VERY light near the apartment.
