I just looked over my sample ballot. We scored 50% overall on the 30 items. Three are too close and have to recount! The Senator race, which may suffer from voter suppression issues in Broward. My state rep district, and the apparently hotly contested Commissioner of Agriculture. Half my Judge picks won and half didn't. Half my amendment picks won and half didn't.
I was definitely more inconsolable in 2016, now more a combo of disheartened and encouraged.
RBG broke three ribs. STAY HEALTHY! Argh.
Unless you are a Baltimore City resident, in which case he goes out of his way to fuck us over. Only reason he hasn't done worse is the state congress has enough #s to veto & does
Yeah, exactly. I have no patience for the "but Hogan's a moderate Republican" line. He's shit all over my city.
Someone get RBG one of those military-grade powered exo-suits STAT.
Have new lego-ish tanks for my desk!
Gud, those are cool! I know almost nothing about military history, so your post just increased my knowledge by about 100%.
On the lighter side, did anyone else watch Riverdale last night? it was kind of fun - going back in time with the current "teens" playing their parents ... with some interesting background.
I think I may watch that on my lunch break today. Sorely in need of distraction and I'm very into the premise.
Also, I was reminded that not everyone may be aware of "Upstart Crow" - it's basically Will Shakespeare looked at with a modern take. As in, on arriving home from London, he complains about the traffic, the wreck that, although cleared quickly, slowed things down because people were slowing down to gawk. In London, his landlady's daughter Kate wants to act on the stage ... but, it being 1600 or so, she isn't allowed to; contrasted to the men who play women on stage to comic effect. Christopher Marlowe appears along with some other notables.
Riverdale was AWESOME last night. I'm legit interested again.
