My parents new home, a retirement community is on lockdown. Meals being delivered door to door.
My work is becoming crazy. Dept of aging centers closing. Recs and parks closing. We have no official policy out to us about who is getting paid and when and how.
We are getting remote access requests in fast and furious for our department, I can only imagine e how slammed IT is.
My son's FIL has a BMX competition on Saturday that we were planning to attend. I'll have to check and see if it is still on.

At our dept meeting this morning, they checked to see who could do their job remotely, and whether we have the equipment. So, after 15 years here, I may finally get a laptop. Though I'm unclear where IT is supposed to producing all these laptops from.
I learned that we can remote in on our personal computers, so that is good. I am sure it is not as secure though. As of now, we are still open and I do not have access to any programs anyway.
They have four new cases in San Francisco today and three are by "community spread." Meaning, they haven't located the source of the infection. So...untreated, undiagnosed people are already spreading it in SF.
Guess how happy my son is about three weeks of spring break!
Guess how worried I am about all the extra kids and teens who will be at the library...
We are told they are doing more widespread testing Solano county, so presumably we'll have additional confirmed cases and hopefully we'll see stricter measures. It all seems pretty haphazard and casual to me so far.
I would love to know how Zoom is preparing!
I'll be working from home starting next Tuesday. I like my coworkers, but I can't say I'll miss the commute.
I'm supposed to be giving a class presentation on Zoom in 15 minutes but the professor hasn't sent us an invitation yet.
