How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh, msbelle. That's hard, I'm sorry.

I remain in awe of your ongoing fight against clutter, though. It sneaks up on me. And H would happily subside in a tsunami of things. He still hasn't gotten over "...most toys wins."

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, Shir. It just sucks to have to say goodbye to someone you love.

not your mom's socks.

Beverly, that's so scary - I am glad it subsided.

In the interests of cheerfulness, may I recommend a show on Netflix called "Emergency Down Under"? Aussie police and first responders, with frequent sightings of hot Chris Hemsworth look alike EMTs and firemen being modest and competent and being comforting to hurt kids and worried parents.

Just soreness today from being stretched and swollen, thanks. Speech fine, if I take it slow and enunciate.

Shir, I'm sorry.

My EMTs were not Hemsworthy. Still, quite staunch and brawny, yes.

Herding cats for fun

There's another Netflix series with a hunky and heroic rescue squad called The Horn, where they fly helicopters up the Matterhorn searching and rescuing amid the gorgeous scenery. I was quite taken with those guys. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a fear of flying or reading the occasional subtitle. If I were in trouble I'd be pretty happy if those guys were coming to get me.

There's another one called "Towies" based in Australia, about a family run company of tow truck operators who work on hauling stolen vehicles out of forests, cars out of rivers known for crocodiles, and wrecked boats off remote beaches. And occasionally towing each other out of spots. The daughters of the family are also drivers.

I can't stand "reality" TV, but I love these Canadian and Australian shows about rescue workers.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Beverly, holy crap, that's scary. I'm glad you're okay!

Shir, I'm sorry it didn't work out.

Rescue workers are the good kind of drama.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

All I have left to do is mop before I think my house is clean enough for guests. And that will take me one minute, because my bathroom is tiny and the kitchen is easy. But I don't wanna!!
