Look, you got a little stabbed the other day. That's bound to make anyone a mite ornery.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Mine is not a WFH job, so I'm kind of looking forward to traversing the streets of Cambridge like the sole survivor of an Apocalypse.

And then there are those of us who work at the public library.

Don't lick the doorknobs, flea. (Hashtag public health.)

I have been personally sanitizing doorknobs around the building, since heaven knows our housekeeping staff doesn't.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm washing my hands frequently with soap at work, which is about as much as I can do.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I'm kind of in the same boat as Flea. Well I say boat. RMS Infection Vector docked here over a week ago and they are still investigating...so, we're just assuming it's in circulation (cruise ship people go to Walmart. Everyone goes to the same Walmart, coming from an hour away, even). And I work in multiple schools (hooray containment) with children with disabilities (who are even more likely to be sent to school sick) including preschoolers (who are widely known to have excellent hand-washing and snot-management skills).

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My niece took an online lab class a couple of years ago - they mailed her a box full of supplies and she did the experiments in her kitchen. Not really something you could pull together for next week, but I thought it was neat that it was offered that way. I think this was through the community college, but I'm not sure.

I work on a lab like this!

We are considering moving all online, but seriously, we have no idea how to handle the clinical competency and simulation portions of a nursing program. I mean, we could, but not next week! If we have to go online now, I don't see how people graduate in May competent to be nurses. Our instructors are not competent online instructors without support, but the idea of trying to support them, at a distance with the students also at a distance.

Now tagless for your comfort.

And then there are those of us who work at the public library.

I spent the morning wiping down tables and washing toys in the children's dept.

Our wings are not tired.

Sheryl, is your department near the departments dealing with the virus issues?
