It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Thrive to spite them

Congrats Zen!!

I called the DMV today and everything is fine. I don't remember the exact way she described it but basically it had been revoked but the form I turned in on the same day wasn't completely in the system until the next day and everything was reinstated. It sounds like this happens alot. I dunno.

At work I spent most of the day in the shoe Dept. I was paged to go over there and the men's shoes person was going upstairs. It turns out they sent someone home who as sick. No fever but they looked bad and were coughing or had a runny nose or something.

And my mom may be moving. The people she tents from has a duplex (well one unit of one) coming available in a few weeks. It is about the same sq footage, has a dishwasher, and is in town. This would be awesome because she would get off the mountain and as nice as that place is it's just not practical anymore. She won't be able to see it until the 18th but she said she was excited about moving.

Our wings are not tired

He didn't in 2016, any particular reason you think he would this time?

I don't see him having another shot at this in four years, and I fear he feels the same way.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay, Zen!

Sigh...I hate when Gary goes on business trips, not only because I miss him, but also because Mr. S acts out more when he's away.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Sounds like any deviation from the routine unsettles him badly -- and it may be at the age he's at, he responds more to a male parental figure? I know it was kind of amusing to my brothers and their wives how their kids swung back and forth from wanting Mom to wanting Dad and back again, without any change in behavior from the parents to spark it off.

The nature cam footage that Jesse linked is very calming!

At work, the woman who is moving out has already signed a lease on an apartment! She works almost as fast as Msbelle, I think. As much as I'll miss her, it's a good step -- she's something like 20 years younger than the average age of our residents so there isn't the peer group you might desire, when you've got more in common with the staff.

(Note: we've got a significant number of 90+s.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Congrats, Zen!

I went to bed so angry with the results that I woke up with a muscle in my back so tight that it felt like I had dislocated a rib. It's so frustrating to have all this play out before my state is heard from. I expect I'll be in bees mode for a while. No, not bees. Something more than bees. I want to send penis-fish stories to all the journos who left Warren out of the narrative with a note to read before bed.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It's not as if he'd have a shot at it *this* year as an independent. It's the Democratic nomination or bust.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

The county I live in has recommended that people with chronic illnesses and/or weakened immune systems work from home if they have the option. I do, thank goodness, but this probably also means I shouldn't go to the spa.

Spa does not seem like a good way to avoid viruses, no.

Alas.

Hey. New board.

Anybody heard from Kate P since the Nashville tornado? It went close to my old / her neighborhood. I sent her a text but only just now.
