Zen kitty, as far as I know my cousin is on the outskirts of DC. I'm unfamiliar with Virginian geography.
Here in Hayward it was an afternoon snooze fest at the FoodMaxx. Hardly anyone in the store. Pallets of bottled water by the entrance, plenty in stock. I did notice most shoppers were buying bottled water and the pain meds looked picked over but pretty much business as usual. I stocked up on frozen dinners and canned tuna.
Also I found my way through the local high school and dropped off my ballot. Then I couldn't get out of the campus cause all the exits are locked. Suppose that's for crowd control, but it was kind of scary for a minute.
I got a job! Pay is less than old job but enough, benefits are decent, and most importantly I like the people. Small business, my own office, no stairs. I'm relieved.
Wow, Zen -- that is the best news to wake up to here.
I expected bad news for Warren. SIGH
Congratulations, Zenkitty!
But, I did a thing. [link]
You did, and Owen too. That's really cool.

The whole race for her has been so disappointing. The early lead seemed to hurt her. Last summer I really thought she would do it.

Very cool indeed!!!
And I am off to the airport! We went last night and left DH's truck in the Miami parking lot. What a zoo that place is, even late night. The Fort Lauderdale airport is saner by far.
Congratulations, Zenkitty!
Yay Zen! How do you feel about going to an office to work?

Pretty good, actually. I think it'll be good for me to get out of the house and interact with people. Ask me again after I've gotten up at 6am for a few days...
