Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

What is even happening?

Calling MA voters today, I mostly got hangups and answering machines. I talked to two hardcore Bernie supporters, one hardcore Biden supporter who just wants to beat Trump (script or no, I can't get it up to argue with that); one Biden/Warren undecided, one Bloomberg hardcore (because she says it is all about money, and he's got the money to beat Trump, which is most important).

All of the Warren supporters I got through to seemed all in, and generally said their household was voting for her.

I've been doing it for almost 3 hours now, and I need to stop, at least for now.

I wonder if anyone has ever convinced a stranger with a phone call.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thaat's amazing Cindy! I don't think I could ever do it.

I just finished watching the docuseries on the murder of Gabriel Fernandez, and it was rough. Probably one of the roughest documentaries I have ever seen, and I still think it didn't (or couldn't) go in depth enough on the family itself. The focus was admittedly on how he slipped through the cracks when there were clearly people reporting his abuse- the number of times police went out there means a neighbor, family member, or kid was calling, plus the teacher and the security guard. But also, how do you deal with a caseload of 300! I just have a lot of feelings about this.

Cindy - FWIW - in all the training I've done, they've stressed that it is not really about convincing, but about getting candidate name out to undecideds and motivating the supporters to get out and vote. So much of it is to increase voter turnout.

I finished my list, but with no real attempt at the last 7 on the list as they were apartments in a senior housing bldg with no real way to access.

Because books.

I don't think I can watch the Gabriel Fernandez doc.

Cindy and msbelle get huge applause for GOTV. I don't really have phone fear, but I still hate cold calling.

KateP, I haven't seen an amyth update in a while.

If anyone really wants to get active, I would suggest finding a local candidate and or group and let them know you only want to do phone banking like in a place with others, or do canvassing in pairs. It is SOOOOO much easier when you have others there with you. The people I got hooked up with in Texas had really good systems. Beto phone banking house parties made it really easy for people to do it for the first time. I would look into swing left or indivisible in your area.

Timelies all!

Mr. S slept until almost 9 this morning.Of course, he didn't fall asleep until after 9 last night. And he's been acting out again today.(Talk about difficult 4 year olds...)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We took our tax return money, marched into Macy's with a well researched list and had a new mattress and box spring in about half an hour. Got all the President's Day sale discount (which was like $700), plus an extra $100 for opening a Macy's account.

Picked up new sheets at Marshalls, grabbed coffee at Peet's, and took the train home and called it a productive day.

We were bummed that we got our return after President's Day weekend sale, and then double checked the Macy's site and saw that it was extended through this weekend. Woot!

Our current mattress predates Matilda so, we're long overdue.

Free new box spring too, and free delivery and set up, and free takeawy of the old mattress.

Delivery is everything, man. Especially when you live above ground floor. And taking away the old mattress is a godsend.
