Loving the bullion dudes in billionaire's tears.
also this:
It would be nice if I had confidence in our government, but that ship has sailed.
Actually, I'm pretty sure it's sunk at the dock--it's down there now, rocking in the tide and straining at the line tying it to the dock. Perhaps retrievable, if barnacl-y and sogged through.
The guy who created it says it's said "Jif" but since it's Graphic Interchange Format, not Juraffic Interchange Format, he's the biggest troll of them all.
THANK YOU!
I'm just hoping alley cats can't transmit COVID19, as I have closer contact with them than other human beings most of the time. I'm pretty sure at least one of my last two colds came from one of them sneezing on me while sitting in my lap.
Bouillon cubes.
I think.
Yes! I always have emergency bouillon cubes, but I can't spell it.
Creamed tuna is basically tuna noodle casserole without the noodles! Tuna in cream sauce. When I was a kid, we ate it on toast or mashed potatoes with peas! Now I eat it over cauliflower mash with spinach. Or, if I want, like a tuna melt, with melted cheese. I think the liking of this depends on your liking of hot tuna fish, which may be an acquired taste, but it somehow the most comforting food from my childhood. Although lately I have been craving hash- which I can't have because potatoes- I think I might try rutageba and have some hash.
My cat did not get sick when I had the death flu, but she did sneeze a couple of times. I also can't worry about it, but since I work with students- if everything closes down, I will be out of a job unless we just focus on the online programs. They interrupted class the other day to deliver a GIANT Purell to the classroom. My old boss and my new boss are both immune-compromised because they take methotrexate, and my immunity is bad because of the diabetes.
I'm another worker who definitely can't work from home, although I could see some scenario where I'm the 'outside' person who fetches stuff and leaves it on the doorstep to be handed off inside.
It seems like a good idea to remind ourselves that all that quarantine does at this point is to slow the spread -- it's going to get to you eventually, but if the spread slows down it buys time for medical treatment to be available to all.
In fact it might be a better position to get sick early (before the rush!) when you're likely to get rock-star treatment instead of one bed in a ward of hundreds and triaged if you look worse off. Presuming you come through OK (and remember, ~93-98% do) you're immune and able to take care of others.
I'm a little weirded out that this work medical form asks medical history and for medications I am taking. I did not think they could ask that.
I didn't think they could ask that either.
Besides working in retail I pretty much self isolate. Everyone in the house tends to have hermit tendencies which I guess will serve us well.
Those who live in their parents' basements will rule the world.
this medical form also wants my immunization record with years. I have access to my current record from my dr fron the last 10 years and I have my childhood shot record, but I do not have any idea where my data on getting some of these are.
People need to do those immunization records when they come in as students. The easiest thing is to go to a PCP and have them sign off. But the polio is always a challenge.
For everything except polio, they can do titres to prove that you are vaccinated, even without dates,
