I've been using a memory foam mattress pad for about six months now, and I love it. Absolutely the best mattress pad I've ever used.

I think his dislike is based on we use a heated mattress pad (Best! Thing! Ever!), and he has concerns that the uniform heat will negate the memory foam aspect. And that the memory foam will just conform to pressure points and not be supportive.
IDEK, his brain is odd.
Do you know anyone local who has a memory foam mattress pad that you could try out for a few days and see how you like it? (Or, if your finances allow it, could you just buy one and agree to try it out for two weeks or something and then decide?)
I've been tempted by thredup, but I have Fit issues with some non-standard measurements (like length of torso and breadth of shoulders), so trusting to a stated size on a website is pretty dubious.
BUT! I went out Lyfting for a while, which meant that while I was down in Dedham I could stop by the Savers thrift store, which did not disappoint with two pairs of work pants, one pair of where-will-I-wear-them pants (seriously cool fabric) and this sort of chenille poncho in purple-blue which will make a fun home bathrobe.
So that kind of ate up half the money I made from Lyft, but what the hell.
Timelies all!
I'm sitting here with Nova on my lap, while Gary and Mr. S clean up his room.(How much cleaning gets done by Mr. S is unknown.)
If getting to a PO and mailing things is not an obstacle for t=you Theo, then doing a Thredup box rather than straight buying things might work for you. You pay $10 and get to choose 10 things within a price range and from the closest warehouse. You have I think 7 days to try and on and return anything you do not want (they send a return label). The $10 goes toward whatever you keep and you pay the rest.
We have a memory foam mattress topper and a heated mattress pad and it is an amazing combo and no problems. But it's just a topper but I haven't noticed any change in the way the topper feels since using the heated mattress pad...except it gets really cozy and relaxing which make it hard to get out of bed because it's so comfy
ltc is definitely feeling better because she hasn't stopped talking in the last 4 hours. I'm still not great, but I get to bring her to school tomorrow!
msbelle, I always love a faded oriental rug, and that one comes in so many colorways you could match anything. But sara's seen the space, so I think I'd go with her choice.
So parents letting their children run around airports on scooters is now a thing. I narrowly avoided some older kids at SFO, but got nailed by a very small, unsupervised child at LAX earlier.
