I am watching charts and result pages with no commentary.
Happy about Kim Davis being defeated by a man she would not issue a marriage license to!
OH Kate - that will make me happy if that is true about FL.
I poll greeted from 5-7 and several white conservative looking folk were saying go beto, so fingers crossed. I don't feel great about it though.
I'm in DC, and I grabbed a bottle of prosecco from my office before everyone departed for various watch parties. I'm in my hotel room by myself now with the prosecco, although earlier today I was helping educate some of my non-US colleagues on how the electoral college is racist bullshit, so.
Most of the day I lost to work escalations, for which I am kind of grateful.
Maybe not great, but maybe a good night.
Spent the day hiking in the hills with an adorable pitty mix who kept lying down in the shade when he got tired, it was hella cute. And then we got beers and now I'm afraid to look at the results. Instead I think I'll watch GBBO and maybe Black Panther...
The House is going blue
I wanted Beto to be that Lizard Person so bad, that I'm a little blue, too.
I actually haven't watched any returns. I read about Kim Davis on Facebook, and then saw on Facebook that the House flipped, and that's all I've got in me tonight.
Thanks to the House flipping, I don't have to take more Ativan to get some sleep.
I'm seeing things called on facebook that my NPR chart has not called yet, so I am going to stay off Facebook.
House has flipped, but Cruz won and Gillum lost. We still have some battles to face.
Despite the regaining the House, I feel so let down about and for Gillum and O'Rourke. Kemp's ahead of Abrams now in Georgia, and I think the Snake person is going to beat out Senator Nelson in FL.
Then I watch the MA news and it's almost all good, except (as expected) our Republican governor held onto his seat. Still, he's not a Trumper and he's pro-choice (and the win was very expected) and gun sane.
I think I'm going to end my news binge on local news, where things are much better. We even approved a ballot measure to uphold our already-in-place protections to transgender people in public accommodations.
Thank goodness we rode whip-smart-Millie out on a rail. She could have cocked up the whole state.

But did you have to send her to Ohio???
