Natter 76: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Foaminess
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
ION: One of my contacts seemed to be trying to escape from my eye, so since I happened to have a pair of glasses with me (I don't, usually) I decided to let it go (and take its otherwise compliant mate with it). This is the first time I've worn my glasses to work in I don't know how long. Apparently my vision has gotten A LOT worse. My single-vision glasses are messing me up both on the computer and trying to read papers on my desk. Gonna be a long afternoon. At least they're ok for driving home.
I fell down the Zillow-hole after Matt's post. This is in my town, and a really cool combination of old and new: [link]
We leave "ought" the way it is, just to mess with people. It's still English, we have a rep to uphold.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Beverly and Fiona's son!
Ugh. Got home to find Mr. S had clogged the toilet in his bathroom. Luckily Gary was able to unclog it, but it was nasty.
Happy Beverly Day!
I'm sorry, rationalizing spelling in English is not something I can take seriously enough to banter about. I will note that when my coworker got married and took her husband's last name, which is Koff, she seriously got confused the first few times we called her by her new full name. "Why are you telling me to cough? Y'all are so weird"
I'm watching NOVA on cats. With mine curled up on me.
I actually watching the debate, and everyone came PREPARED.
Is that good? It sounds good.
I'm having a glass of wine while dinner cooks. Sofa king tired, y'all.
It's kind of fun, if not also depressing. Warren is dunking on everyone, but I have to admit I liked Mayor Pete asking folks to vote for a Democrat. (Rather than Sanders OR Bloomberg.)
