The university is closed again today because we're still on a boil water advisory since yesterday because of a water main break, so I'm "working" from home, which means keeping one eye on my email and the other on Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj. Also, many snack breaks.
Instead of watching election returns, I'm going to see the Psychedelic Furs at a local club tonight. When I accepted the invitation from a friend months ago, I didn't make the connection that it would be election night, but now I'm thinking that this is the best way to deal with my 2016 trauma and 2018 anxiety. I saw the Psychedelic Furs live some years ago when they were touring with the B-52s and the Go-Gos. They suffered a little from the comparison, but probably the best night of live music I've ever experienced. And I saw Chuck Berry in concert.
