Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Yikes askye. I hope she feels better soon.

I had a bunch of people over for the super bowl, it was good times. We were rooting "gold pants" vs "red shirts". Though given our demographic we were pretty pro the 49ers because they had the lesbian coach (who one of my friends at the party used to play football with!)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

We really give a shit about you staying alive. Just putting that out there.

Oh yes. This. You are such a kind person, Gud.

Yes, we do. It breaks my heart when you are so down on yourself.

I put in a really subpar project for my class this week. I am almost thinking maybe I can go and add to it even though it technically was due at midnight. But I forgot my references!!! Ah well. It was a discussion board, so maybe I can reply to myself with the references and an "oops!"

Oh- and much health ~am to your mom. I have been sick for awhile, too. I have been mostly avoiding the doctor because I don't want to talk to him about my other long term health issues- could that maybe be something for your mother? I don't know how to help if it is- since I am doing the same thing.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I actually left the house to see friends yesterday! Turns out socializing is pretty fun in person! The Superbowl was on in the background but we were mostly there for the bourbon, snacks, and Shakira.

Our wings are not tired.

Health~ma for your mom, askye. I hope you can get her to the doctor.

Gud, you have a tragic lack of appreciation in your life. If your family and work environment aren't appreciating you then you should at the very least learn to be more objective about how much you accomplish on a regular basis and appreciate yourself. I only do a small percentage of the stuff you manage and I expect everyone around me to tell me I am awesome on a frequent basis.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's Monday and I'm tired. Wasn't up late, and I don't remember waking up during the night.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So Rush Limbaugh has advanced lung cancer.

Considering how shitty the world turned when I felt gloaty about Scalia's death, I'll hold my tongue.

I will however note that certain people commit so much harm in the world that the world is better for their absence and leave it at that.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It wasn't you, David, it was turning on the Large Hadron Collider that shifted over into this alternate universe.
