Our wings are not tired.

Thanks for the ~ma but I am going to divert it to Javachik because I'm fine, just a big baby since I so rarely need meds.

That sounds like an excellent recipe for comfort, sj. There was chocolate flakes in my yogurt! It was still pretty boring.

I need to switch off news and go to fictional entertainment.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Plans today were going to the museum as a recovery from a Terrible Stressing Week (end of semester, huge exam, not getting the support I needed from people around me to go through it). Woke up too late to get to the museum in time after cleaning the house + studying a bit, so I'll go for a walk instead and let being in nature do its thing.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Nature is good. What's the weather like these days in your neck of the woodsworld? 36F here, which is rather cold for a nature hike.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Mostly between 46-58F. Currently 50F, slightly windy, sometimes rainy.

Eh -- depends on your mood, I suppose, and how well clad you are.

I have a friend who was in the Air Force, stationed in Greenland for a while. Her survival instructor told them there is no such thing as bad weather, just weather you are inappropriately clad for.

I heard of this, yes, but under 46F it is really too cold for me. Jerusalem coldness goes straight to the bones.

I know of a few kindergarten teachers who adhere to this saying. I wish I would have brought up this way, but nope. If I'll have kids one day I'll look for a kindergarten that encourage this connection to nature.

(Theo, what are you doing up so late/early?)

I woke up at 3 AM, read for a little while, but then had my best and deepest sleep until nearly 7 AM, which for me is late. But I'm on Eastern Standard Time (+5GMT) so it's not that early, really.

In Greenland I can buy that, but just what is the appropriate wardrobe for 120°+ heat index, pray tell?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Just got back from another crazy kids birthday party with bouncy houses. Now ltc is overtired and over sugared.
