What is even happening?

In typical MA fashion, they've gotten rid of the blue law, but in a stupid way. Each supermarket chain can have a certain number of liquor licenses now. So when TJ's wanted to have liquor in a new store, they had to take it out of an existing one.

(This is like when they started selling liquor on Sundays, but only within a certain distance of the New Hampshire border. Is it a sin or not???)

Thou shalt not sacrifice thy tax revenue to thy bordering states.

Decided to get a Lyft to the bus today. How long does it take for someone to confirm a ride usually? Is it possible no driver would select it and I be stuck?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Is there a way to get the wise dinosaur to pop up on whatever screen I am looking at when I should be going to bed? That seems like it would be helpful

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

How long does it take for someone to confirm a ride usually? Is it possible no driver would select it and I be stuck?

In my not-vast experience, it's usually almost instant, and it seems unlikely, in a large urban area, that no one would be available.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I don't know if this should go in Boxed Set, but I thought it was worth noting; design for Space Force logo. One comment: "In space, no one can hear designers scream..."

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Maybe the Fox network ran some old sci-fi reruns late at night and he thinks they were documentary footage, hence the worry about immigrants from space?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Feeling frustrated with Mr. S. This is not an uncommon event, alas.

Ugh I hate dating so much. (But do want to be in a relationship, so....)

Met someone cute, we made plans a couple weeks ago to hang out this Saturday. Ended up unexpectedly meeting up last Thursday, felt like it went well, messaged a bit last weekend, then....silence from Saturday through today, when I messaged asking if we are still on for Saturday. I know they saw it....but no response. Grrrr. I don't want to have it canceled but I also don't want to be in limbo until I decide to make other plans? Hmph.
