When does the furniture arrive, msbelle!? I'm excited for you!

That part would be driving me crazy, camping out and waiting for furniture to arrive! I know you're organized so that you carried life's essentials (like enough cooking and eating implements) with you in the car, but still.

I've been 20 years in this house now (YIKES) but I'm pretty sure there are boxes that I haven't unpacked, somewhere.

The last time I was looking for a job, Debbie Gibson's "Shake Your Love" was charting on the Billboard Hot 100!

We would be pretty similar then. The last time I applied for jobs was in 1986. I got one, and I've been in the same office at the same desk doing pretty much the same kind of stuff ever since. It's almost un-American at this point, and certainly does not speak to my ambition or adventurousness.

I have more food than actual implements. I have one skillet and one pot that were already at the house for the renter. I have to wash everything as soon as I am done with it, or, like this morning, the pot is dirty and can't be used to boil the water to make coffee in the french press.

I ma trying to stay at the house as much as possible to get Bailey feeling more and more ok with things, rather than run out to get ready made food and buy things I will need for the house.

But I did do an Aldi run yesterday (5 min away - YAY!) and will hit home depot and a liquor store today. NO BEER IN GROCERY STORES!!! HOW DARE.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

It's almost un-American at this point, and certainly does not speak to my ambition or adventurousness.

I've been at the same place for almost 15 years now (it'll be 15 years on Valentine's Day), and I really think I need to get out. Every time I get comfortable with some BS they pull, I think "surely this will be enough for them," and they go "hold my beer." But the inertia is pretty overwhelming by now. Like you, I feel like it speaks to my level of ambition, but what can I say; I fear change.

Speaking of change, I'm so vicariously enjoying your new adventure, msbelle!

Our wings are not tired.

NO BEER IN GROCERY STORES!!! HOW DARE.

!!! When I go to NY for the summer I grumble about having to go to a liquor store for wine. We have beer and wine in grocery stores here.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I think you're required to develop a taste for Natty Boh ... wherever you can find it (speaking as being in proximity to Baltimore, although not actually there). And could you get something delivered? or is it just easier to camp out?
