The iguana isn't dead, it's just resting!
That's a tough transition, Jessica. January and Feb are the best time for trips to a warmer climate, but the return can be kind of shocking.
I had one of those "Wow I really do get paid for this!" experiences with my job this afternoon -- driving a bunch of residents over to the Museum of Fine Arts and then gently shepherding them through a couple of galleries that were interesting and fun. My admission paid for, too!
More like actually Work-work: driving the
big
bus across the traffic minefields of Boston and Cambridge, but that worked out fine, too.
I saw a little note warning people not to pick up the iguanas. There was a brief mention of a man who was collecting the fallen iguanas (pretty good band name?) and putting them in the back of his pickup truck. He was driving them ... somewhere ... and it got warmer and suddenly he had a truck bed full of active iguanas. The mention was brief, so it didn't say what he did with the iguanas.
Timelies all!
Gary got home at 2 this morning, so of course Mr. S woke up a little after 6. I went to work today, but Gary got a travel day because his flight got in after midnight. Still, he is very tired.
Sigh -- I was just looking through the old collection of funny quotes and hit a stretch where there were posts by Ginger and Connie Neil, and a response from Frankenbuddha. Le Sigh.
Tell more about your trip, Jess!
The mention was brief, so it didn't say what he did with the iguanas.
The question is, what did the iguanas do with
him
?
Aw, man, I forgot to eat lunch. Oops. And now wonder my brain stopped working.
Laura, I gather it was cold in your area last night:
It doesn't happen that often so they have to try and get the word out about the iguanas. Poor sleeping iguanas get abused by people who think they are dead.
Also, YES, we had snow flurries in the overnight hours. Still I didn't do anything crazy like wear socks with my sandals today, or a sweater for that matter. It was in the lower 60s during the day. It is so fun for the few days a year this happens.
Yay Tim!! Early release FTW!
