No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

I am tempted to tell my neighbors they need to sell their condo: I realize it's their retirement home and that they're gone all but a handful of days a year, but every time they're in there it snows!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Be careful, amy, sounds like they have powerful magic. Don't offend the Snow Queen. I am told it snowed here last night and that Does Not Happen (I didn't see it for myself so I don't entirely believe it, but if it's true it's downright shocking)

This is when I have to pretend very hard to be an ant and my weekend grasshoppering really comes back to bite me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had no warning that it would be snowing on my way to work this morning -- not enough to stick, but still surprising after it was in the 70s yesterday!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

We had a thunderstorm Saturday night. The local lore says that if you hear thunder in January you'll see snow in 10 days. I didn't actually hear the thunder, because it was ~2 AM and I was dead to the world. But the temperature is dipping dramatically in the long-term forecast.

At this point it looks like the VP slot is the only possibility for a POC.

Democrats, man.

I am in such a bad boom and part of it is that I haven't had lunch yet but part of it is also that the part of my lunch I was really looking forward to apparently did not make it to work with me so actually having lunch (as I am about to do) may not do as much to make me feel better as one would think.
