I am making good packing progress today! Potential buyers are coming between 2-3 central time if people could vibe. They are house flippers, so would be a cash but without realtor since I have signed anything with her yet.
Oh! Excellent offer ~ma headed your way.
We got a little bit of snow but it almost all melted before I woke up. Much preferable to the tornado warnings.
I have been reading the past few weeks but not posting because I feel like a bad Buffista if I don't try to acknowledge and support everyone who is going through a lot — I guess I just want to say that I have seen and have been thinking about you even if I don't say anything directly here.
This is directly tied to the fact that I am operating on too few spoons and a lot of stress, which I'm not going to get into here. I will just say that I think it's a crime that — even with health insurance — it's so hard to find a therapist. It looks like the closest ones to me are downtown (not close), and when I tried calling the number for one of the licensed counselors, I got an addiction center answering machine. We don't have the extra money to pay for a therapist out of network, but I make too much money to qualify for any kind of sliding scale. So. Anyway. Just venting a little and hoping this helps to explain why I've disappeared here.
We've certainly all done the reading and nodding and sending ~ma silently thing. I'm sorry you are overwhelmed, Pix. Letting us know allows us to send you loving thoughts.
Don't think the potential flippers are gonna buy the place, but they said they would let me know in 1-2 days. They would be basically gutting the whole house.
That's wild.
I went shopping with my mother and almost killed her when she said the skirt I was trying on was nothing thrilling, after she spent an hour trying on jeans!! Otherwise it was fine, though.....
Pix, it is so frustrating to try to access mental healthcare, and the worst part is that when you need it, you don't have enough spoons to deal with the bullshit involved with trying to access it.
I got a random package today that's apparently a sample box from a really good gluten free company (Schar). The thing is, I absolutely don't remember ordering it, so I can only conclude it was something I stumbled upon one night when I was up with insomnia, and then I forgot ordering it. (And there is no transaction with Schar in my bank/credit card statements going back through all of 2019. So apparently it's either a freebie or someone sent it to me and didn't tell me. Either way, gluten free crackers and cookies, woo!)
Normally my insomnia nights lead to me putting books on hold at the library and forgetting, which is funny enough on its own when I get the email telling me I have a book to pick up. But random snacks being delivered to me is a whole other level.
Timelies all!
Took Mr. S to the birthday party for the daughter of some friends of ours. Small, home party, and he seemed to have a good time. (It didn't hurt that there were blocks to play with.) His new bed arrived today as well(He seems to have outgrown the toddler bed.)
Random snacks should be a band name.
