In small world news, the mom of one of the HS kids DH coaches knew Sean online because they played dominoes. When DH told his team about his loss and how he was having an emotional day because of his HS basketball friend being murdered the parent knew the name. She said she only knew him online and was annoyed because he was late making his move, and that never happened. The internet makes the world a smaller place.
Sean was big on the online games like Dominoes, Spades, and Chess. He was a logic master who could solve a Rubik's cube with ease.
There was a small article in the Jamaican press about him this morning. [link] It was tough telling my sons last night. He was their "uncle" all their lives. The boys were predictable in response, the eldest crying like his dad, the younger internalizing like his mom.
That's so sweet about the dominoes!
Dominoes is a huge thing here. My son used to play with the Jamaicans in the school lounge all the time. I didn't even know they played on line too!
In much less depressing news, I got NexGen nails! I went to SIL's salon last night and tried the powder lasts 2-3 weeks super nail stuff. In her usual nurturing way, she decided that I needed tips added to them all to make them stronger. They are super red and shiny. And strong! I keep them just barely longer than my fingers because I am not a woman of leisure. I'll take a picture because real pretty. eta: Picture from FB [link]
Jackson deciding laps are ok also super sweet.
Marianne Williamson ends 2020 presidential campaign
Aww, Marianne, we hardly got to know ya.
And yet, I feel like I got to know her too well
In one town in Iowa, seemingly, she's already president.
I am quite certain that she could do a better job than the current occupant.
Unfortunately, most of us have met dogs who could do a better job.
My kitty could do a better job, and he's a straight-up demon.
