I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Made banana muffins this afternoon using up one bag of bananas from freezer, a jar of applesauce, a package of coconut sugar, and a container of coconut flour.

Also sold 2 bookcases, and a tub of Legos (they weren't mine, but had been left here since last garage sale).

Took a couple of things over to mom & dad's for their estate sale. Gave mac a small bin and a large bag of stuff he had left.

AND found about 5 items of clothing that don't fit and will get donated.

Packed about 6 boxes yesterday and four today.

Met with Realtor. She thinks I can get what I want for the place selling it as is. She is going to look at comps though as see if doing $10-15K of work would increase selling price by $35-40K in which case, I might schedule the work.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thanks for all the cat ideas! My best luck has been waiting until she is asleep and surprising her, but now that I am back from break I actually can't wait for that to happen! I have to get to work!

Work is crazy. All the professors wait to work on their courses for spring until break, which I understand, but what it means is even though they are supposed to consult us as they plan, they try to do everything themselves and come to us at the eleventh hour! All of them. All at once. And they have created giant messes in Blackboard. And since all of us Instructional Designers also teach we have our own classes too! This is a terrible model. I think we need to stop telling professors they are on a nine month appointment full time, but having them teach for twelve months part time. They need the break to work on their classes in a thoughtful fashion!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

What has worked for me is to kneel so that my legs are on either side of the cat so that I can clamp them with my thighs, and the range of paw/claw movement is restricted.

But mostly I've paid extra to have non-pill medications, such as special food or a paste that can be rubbed on a paw.

Even when we had two people to administer a pill to the late great Toshiro, it turned out that he could spit a pill halfway across the room.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

So far we have gone to lunch, the guys got their hair cut and Gary picked up a new bottom lock for our front door, as ours doesn't work. Tonight Gary and I are going to a concert at The Birchmere, with a babysitter for Mr. S.

Coding and Sleeping

I made a new personal website because my old one was so lame. It's still not exciting, but at least it's better.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Very nice! I love the colors and the way you organized things, Gud. It's easy to find content without looking all tabular.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Hello all!

Natter is moving too quickly for me at the moment, so all I can do is send my wishes that all of you had lovely holiday seasons and that 2020 brings us all peace. (I'm definitely not keeping up with the news.)

I did get my Buffista holiday cards out, though a little late.

My apologies for the lack of updates. Lots has happened since I last posted, but unfortunately many of those things were things that put me out of commission temporarily. I did get to spend the holidays at home, which was lovely, but also taught me that I need to build in some structure at home like I have at the hospital, even when there's no one around to make me do it. I think I'll be better at it the second time around, having learned a few things.

Thank you all for the cards and letters and well-wishes and gifts. And all the ~ma. It means so much.

I'm going to try to squeeze in a more detailed G&GR post before the thread closes (is it already closed?) but I wanted to stop in and let you know I'm still here! (Currently back in the hospital for a brief stint for round 3of 8 of chemo. Hope to be discharged again tomorrow night!)
