Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

hip deep in pie

Last night as I was falling asleep I was overwhelmed with the smell of someone baking brownies. I was awake enough to know it wasn't real, but it smelled so good, I didn't care.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy New Year's Day, all!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mmm, spectral brownies

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Spent about 5 hours over with the parents today. I took all my tools over for dad to look at and we upgraded stuff and filled in holes since he will need virtually no tools in the retirement community. I had and overflow of screwdrivers and drill bits, so now I have fewer and better, also socket wrenches, and vice grips, and a vice to mount on my workbench. cleaned up a bunch of stuff and left the duplicates and not great stuff to go in their garage sale.

Ugh. Brushing my teeth just made me gag and throw up. That's new. I guess it's probably unfortunate timing and a stomach bug?

Not how I mean to go on, new year.

That's a really good idea, going through you and your father's tools, msbelle.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That's a great idea you had, msbelle.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I didn't realize your parents are moving, too, msbelle! Are they going to SoCal??

Ugh, -t.

Our wings are not tired.

Back to the salt mines today. It feels like a Monday! We have new rules for prescribing controlled substances as of today so I'll have a bunch of calls about that no doubt.

I bought myself a new water pic type thing and used it yesterday for the first time. Way more powerful than my old one so I had to turn the power way down to not do damage. Makes my mouth happy though.

New year and new determination with DH so we went for the sunrise beach walk. Took Skinner so Brendon got a real arm workout too. My whole outlook improves when I breathe the ocean air first thing. Ahhh.

Yeah, I don't know what day it is or what exactly I'm supposed to be doing here at work. The upside is, everyone else was on vacation, too, so while when I took one Friday off in December, I had 80 new emails to deal with, today I have like 20.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm at work. Most people won't be back until the 6th. This includes people I need to work with to move forward on some projects. I should have considered this before making my own vacation plans, alas.
