I did, in fact, leave work early and I thought that would be a good opportunity to get some groceries but I forgot that I hadn't eaten lunch and I may have gone a little overboard. Oops. At least I won't start the new year with no food!

I ended up with no plans at all tonight, which is just fine by me! I did go out earlier to play trombone in support of some anti-war demonstration in the middle of all the NYE festivities. I would have rather listened to the amazing band playing nearby, though!

Our plans are low key, and I considered it a triumph that I got Matilda off the couch, and dressed and outside even once.
But I made a fancy Mac & Cheese to give away, and JZ made the delicious lemon cookies, and we have a bottle of champagne, and we'll do a brie en croute tonight and watch something.
We've been watching What We Do In The Shadows and it's fun to hear Matilda cackle with glee.
Might try to watch a marathon of His Dark Materials.
This sinus infection doesn't want to go away, so I'm staying in tonight, probably in bed by 10. I think Indian food is in our future. But I'm loving pictures on FB of various friends dressed up for Roaring 20s parties.
Aw, Roaring 20s party is a cute idea!
I'm thinking I might binge watch something, just have to decide what.
I had a craving for onion dip, and sour cream in the fridge, so I just sauteed up some onion, added Worcestershire and Everything Bagel topping, and Bob's your uncle!
Nice!
I thought I had sparkling wine lying around but I guess I don't. Will have to make do with still, I suppose. Not going back out into the world until tomorrow if I can help it.
Home. Watching some iZombie then probably a movie. Maybe The Irishman. My neighbors seem to be doing something so I may go there later. I'm pretty chill at the moment.
Happy New Year everyone! I'm cosy at home watching Miss Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries, which is pretty enjoyable so far. I do miss the 20s fashions.
Timelies all!
We're back from friends' ISS New Years party. Basically they decided to go by the time on the International Space Station for declaring New Years. (7 pm our time)Got to see some other friends we haven't seen in a long time, and Mr. S got to play with their daughter, who is 3 months older than him.
