I am "senior" at work, so I forget that we don't actually get "break". We are attached to a major medical center, so I think they can't give us the week off. But they give us so much vacation, I am just used to taking the week. And then all the new employees are stuck there with nothing to do, because there are no professors, and hardly any staff. They have only two weeks of vacation, and I have five a year (I actually have ten).

I miss getting acrylic over my nails. I developed an allergy and now can only get gel. I think once I move I am going to do my own full covers until some of the nailbeds recover (I bite on the edge of the nail and have in effect narrowed some nails).

I thought today was Thursday when my alarm went off. It's taken a while for my brain to reboot. Fortunately, I have an easy article to edit today.
I am so jealous of people with quiet times at work right now! We've still got a pretty high volume of orders to process and end of month stuff and end of year stuff and I am pretty much all out of caring about any of it.
This morning I was ahead of schedule, decided to go to Starbucks for a breakfast treat,a s I was leaving realized I had left my water bottle at home so I swung by the house and got it, went to work, realized as I was walking in the door that I didn't have my briefcase with my laptop, ran back home to get that, and ended up only 20 minutes late, like I usually am without all that running around. Sigh.
oh right - year end closing. glad to be not at work for that. Sorry yours is a bear -t.
For those of you who saw on FB, I am putting together as many of our lego sets as I can in prep to sell them (high price for sets than loose lots). Just finished another small one and found a piece I could not find for a second smallish on yesterday. I think tonight I should be able to do one of the large super hero ones. It is satisfying to complete them, but so so many pieces still. more Bionicles than Legos, I think, at this point.
I'm at the office, although I feel like dirt, so I'm going to leave after lunch and work from home.
Today is my day to do nothing! I haven't gotten dressed or off the couch yet! I should do some laundry, and maybe will go through some clothes to get rid of stuff, but maybe not!
Every other day this vacation has had a good mix of doing stuff and doing nothing.
That sounds so nice! I need to learn how to mix my doing stuff and doing nothing better, I tend to be all or nothing with both
TCG went back to work today, but they're sending. Him home early because the roads are so bad.
So are you actually building the things or inventorying the pieces or what, msbelle? I have no practical reason to ask this, I'm just curious.
