Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Haha! Never mind -- we're going.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Wow, go Ryan!!

I had tiny hard-to-find veins before I had kids, now they seem to have loosened up. Not that I recommend pregnancy as a remedy...the other side effects might be harder to deal with than bruising after a blood draw.

Went to the mall and bought everything! Yay! Not really everything, just the right things.

Just the right things is great, Jesse!

I'm at the doctor, as a "post surgery follow up" with my PCP. I'm annoyed that it insisted I should be here at 11:05, and it's 11:55 and I am still waiting on the doctor (appt was supposed to be at 11:20. I'm in an exam room but still waiting)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Great job, Ryan! Way to be prepped and ready for any eventuality.

Lazy Saturday here as we slowly shift gears into chores.

Our wings are not tired.

Be prepared for more Laura's new car really loves carrots!

The adaptive cruise control is nothing short of amazing!! I took a drive to get my nails done shiny blue in anticipation of Tuesday and thought I would experiment. Heavy Fort Lauderdale traffic so I set the speed to max 50. Never touched the pedals for probably 10 miles. When cars zipped in front of me it slowed down, came to a stop at the lights and took off again when the other cars did. I didn't have the courage yet to go hands free, but I am lucky I didn't get leg cramps holding back from using the brake or accelerator. Most of the trip was 3 lanes and I was in the middle lane enjoying watching the little icons on the screen around my car. They even have different shaped vehicles for trucks, SUVs, and even little ones for sports cars.

I feel like I am playing a video game!

That said I did manage to mess up 2 of my nails on the way home.

I hope the doctor had good reports after the stupid long wait, meara.

Doc was good after the long wait, I like my pcp. But the friends who drove me had made other plans that didn't intersect well (originally it was "you drive me and then I'll buy you lunch and maybe we will hang out" and became instead "one of us will drop you off while the other is at brunch and then sending annoyed messages and then we will eat without you and then pick you up and say we have to go home and do couple-y stuff"). Sigh.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We went up to Baltimore to have lunch with hippocampus. Afterwards, we took Mr. S to Port Discovery to run around a while.

Wow, Laura, that sounds amazing. I am looking forward to getting a self-driving car! I'm assuming my mother has another 10 years of driving in her.

That all sounds annoying, meara. I'm sorry all of this is such a hassle.

I just properly switched over my clothes, put together a bag for Goodwill, and am doing laundry, including my new sheets! (Which will actually be guest room sheets, I think, but I'll give them a test run first.)

Oh, also, I have a question: when you say NaNoWriMo out loud, how do you pronounce the I? Like in "write," which would make sense? I just realized I say it like "ree" in my head.
