Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

Herding cats for fun

Merry Christmas to all! May your day be merry and bright.

I am sitting on the bed with a cup of coffee and two of my kitty girls AIFG.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Merry Christmas, Buffistas! Our plans include taking the family to see Cats and then trying our luck at a semi-nice Chinese restaurant which may or may not be open today.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Had lunch out at Legal Seafoods, and perhaps will go over to a friends' house for some socializing in a bit.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We had a very green lunch - split pea soup, green salad, kiwi and pears. Now discussing the possibilities for backpacking Lassen next summer. Sounds promising.

Our wings are not tired.

At BIL's house. Lots of family. Jamaican and Haitian and American foods. So much food. Passed on trying the curried goat once again. I bought a couple sets of jumbo jenga sets for the youngsters. They are building forts and castles.

Thrive to spite them

We had a nice Christmas morning. Pretty lowkey. Matthew's Mom LOVED the gaint blanket/poncho thing we gave her and has not taken it off all day. She got us a new mircowave. We got a lot of kitchen centered stuff this Christmas.

I also took a very long nap and woke up feeling more rested than I have in about 2 weeks which I am going to say right now is the best present.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Yay naps and foods.

I've had a low-key Christmas thus far, which is nice because I have a cold. I'm trying, and mostly failing, to nap right now.

I just opened most of my Buffista cards! Total 7, awesome up to 11.

aurelia really got me with the holiday ghost light.

and one of the 5 I sent came back but since i received a card from the intended person, I will put it back in the mail tomorrow!

I did literally nothing. I have no personal holiday cheer at home, I thought about a movie but that would have involved a shower, so no.

tomorrow is back to work. oh joy.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am packing packing packing packing and moving things out to car or a "not to move pile" since I have move estimators coming at 10am. Trying to get the place a little less cluttered with half packed piles, so they can estimate better.

The car carrier that my brother brought me will fit 2 big suitcases, a plastic container with all my nail polish and 2 full backpacks, so I am less stressed about what will fit in the car. I can have my clothes for 2 full days of travel, a medium box of toiletries, several bags and one igloo of food, a medium box of cleaners (things the movers won't move and/or I don't manage to get rid of), a box of houseplants, and a folded down dog kennel.
