For the Marvel-loving folks that have Disney +: Today's episode of Marvel's Hero Project features a friend of ours and her family. You may actually catch a glimpse of MedicGuy and I at her birthday party.

I just asked a team member if he had done his time sheets for the next two weeks, when he'll be on vacation. He was like, "Oh, I can do it from my laptop at home....?" But then *I* have to do it from *my* laptop at home! He did it now. Phew.
One of our grad student interns is visiting relatives in the far (temperate) south of Brazil over the long break, which means Instant Summer! for her.
My nephew -- now definitely ahead on points for Favorite Nephew -- was able to obtain my birth certificate. So Project Renew Drivers License In Time For Me To Keep My Job continues apace.
Oh, and because it deserves a separate post -- anxious to hear that Steph's Tim has had a favorable report. Crossing digits hard here.
Good news, Theo!
I am just killing time in the office, because I have plans later and none of the errands I have to do make sense to do now! I literally sent my team home, because nothing is happening in the office.
We spent a couple of hours this morning reprocessing and upgrading shipping on 500+ orders that FedEx seems to have misplaced. So that was fun. December, man.
I made up for my week of slothiness by going to 3 of my doctors offices and enrolling 7 of my doctors in ePrescribing of controlled substances. An annoying process. Lucked out and arrived in time for one of their holiday parties at lunch time and was well fed! They also gave me my 2nd shingles vaccine, so kind of mixed visit. Oh but the yummy catered food!! I really have to visit my doctors on Fridays more often.
We're still at the hospital because Tim had some unexpected bleeding (an iv was pulled loose while he was dozing, so no one noticed immediately). It looked like something out of a horror movie, for real. He bled so much that they had to get him a new bed. He's fine, but they wanted to observe him for another couple of hours to be sure everything was okay. Hopefully we'll be home within the hour. I was up at 5 this morning and I am so beat.
Oh! The procedures went fine — they got a good look at his floppy mitral valve, and the cardiologist is pretty sure it can be repaired with a minimally invasive approach, so yay!
Yay for good results!
Timelies all!
Yay for good results for Tim!
