Also, being a questioner makes nice management techniques weird. My Obliger/upholder bosses ask the students and faculty "can you help me understand why you did xxx" and they don't really mean it. I really want to know WHY? Did you do this stupid thing. So I can fix it next time. Most people seem to respond to that technique saying they won't do it again, but I really want to know WHY? Because if I can fix the I can fix it forever.

Oh right! I remembered you sleeping with me, but couldn't remember why!
Is this the Buffistas motto?
Sophia the why is almost always "I wasn't thinking" or even more likely "I dunno".
I don't really like those personality things because we all so rarely fit neatly into a box, still I will always do a quiz. Obliger/Upholder with a side order of Rebel when left to my own devices. I think I used to be much more of a Rebel and now it would take weeks and weeks if not months to get me back to thinking - "What do I want to do today" rather than "what is on the list" or "what must I do".
Cat is fed, no more doing stuff for me. Whew.
BTW, my dept brunch thing today was pretty good. My boss declared no budget considerations so we should all have dessert and fancy coffees and whatnot, which is always nice. My boss's boss gave a little speech in which he said (among other things, but this is what stood for me) that we (the dept) do not get enough credit for what we do but that will be changing in 2020. I'm not even all the psyched about possible changes, just hearing someone higher up the ladder say we don't get recognition we deserve us really affirming. And then the White Elephant exchange, which was really a Yankee Swap, I think, but all those things are pretty much outside my experience so maybe not, but everyone seemed to end up with little things they were happy with and the whole thing was good natured and fun. So yay for that.
Is this the Buffistas motto?
Possibly!
That does sound good, -t. I'm looking forward to my work party tomorrow, and hoping for the return of the mashed potato bar!
I work with studentS, so they usually have a thought pattern. I anted them to sit at the caxcabt receptionist desk and they weren't. Turns out, after digging, it wasn't set up to print! But I had to dig to get to that, very blatantly. (Like not "help me understand but Why the Fuck aren't you doing this thing?)
I came up Questioner on the quiz, which isn't wrong exactly but not completely all the time right, either.
Total Buffista motto!
And Im very much an Obliger, occasionally Upholder. But I've read her whole book and...still am only so so at figuring out how to make myself do things.
I am not surprised, I am a questioner with strong upholder values. I Think all the personalities tests are sort of bunk, but it also helps me understand that not everyone thinks the same as me, which is a flaw of mine.
