On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

I got my holiday cards today that I ordered! And then I did my list of people whose addresses I have and realized I should've ordered a lot more. Oops.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I do that every year, or else I do the reverse and order 15-20 more than I actually need.

It's a snow day here, except it's not snow, it's freezing rain, which is less pretty and way more treacherous for driving. Fortunately our awesome sitter volunteered to come early today so I can go into work after lunch.

Thrive to spite them

I just realized I'm about to work 8 days straight because my next day off is Christmas and the back to back close/open shifts are still on the schedule. I have to talk to the HR manager today. I know at Best Buy I worked more days straight and it didn't seem to bother me, or I just wasn't aware of how worn down I was from it. But that was when I was sitting answering the phones and didn't have to interact with so many people and my drive to work was much shorter.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Somebody make me do some other than watch cartoons with ltc all day.

Okay. I finally found my address label documents on my computer back up. So, I guess I'm spending the day updating the files. I know I didn't sign up for the card exchange, but if anyone not on my regular list wants a card, send me your meatspace address at my profile address. I should have a few extra this year.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Talked to nephew, who is copacetic with the Trenton plan, so he'll be able to get to it weather permitting.

Now to do something about my battery.

I am down to one Christmas gift left to buy, which I will do at the cinema tonight. Then, the wrapping begins!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am still without a good idea for my aunts, and it's approaching too late to even get anything online, huh? They literally don't need any items, and get more gift certificates than they actually use. Ugh!!
